Junior League of Cedar Rapids Hosts Community Awareness Breakfast
CEDAR RAPIDS, IA – On Saturday, Nov. 10, Junior League of Cedar Rapids
will hold its bi-annual community awareness breakfast from 9:00 – 11:00
a.m. at The Bridge, located at 2100 First Avenue NE.
The focus of this year’s awareness breakfast is the United Way of East
Central Iowa’s Community Agenda for Action plan. Leslie Wright,
director of community impact for the United Way of East Central Iowa,
will be the guest speaker.
Wright will discuss the Agenda’s three Impact Areas that will focus
resource investment in the coming year. The three Impact Areas include:
Strengthening Children & Youth, Strengthening Families and Strengthening
Connections. The Agenda was developed in partnership with the community,
including agencies, donors and other key stakeholders. Discussion will
highlight the needs of women and children in our community.
