JLCR Toy and Book Sale to Benefit Science Station
CEDAR RAPIDS, IA – Junior League of Cedar Rapids (JLCR) will host a
holiday toy and book sale, Saturday, Dec. 1 from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. at
the Cherry Building, 329 10th Ave. SE, Cedar Rapids, IA. In line with
JLCR’s mission to improve the community through the effective action and
leadership of trained volunteers, all proceeds will benefit the Science
Station.
The holiday toy and book sale will run during the Very Cherry Holiday,
an annual open house and studio tour held by the artists and
entrepreneurs of the Cherry Building. Over 25 studios, galleries and
renovated workspaces will be open to the public with original artwork
and unique gift packages available for purchase.
The Cherry Building is located in the Czech Village/New Bohemia Cultural
District. The Very Cherry Holiday Open House has driven hundreds of
visitors to the District as they walk through the renovated 88-year-old
building and find hidden treasures.
